People’s experience
Prior to the inspection, we asked the practice to encourage patients to share their views of the service with us. We received feedback from 7 patients. On the day of the inspection, we reviewed online feedback from a further 31 patients. Overall, patient feedback was positive and reflected confidence in the dental team and the care provided. For NHS patients, 52 Friends and Family Test responses were submitted in February 2026. The practice also routinely reviews and responds to Google reviews. Comments included: "The staff at Dane Bank are always friendly and professional. The [dentist dental nurse] are a great team who always look after us, putting us at our ease and looking after our dental health. We’ve been going for many years and we hope to keep going for many more years…" "I've been going for 23 years now to the Dane Bank Dental surgery and I've only ever received excellent service. I follow their advice, as they are the experts and have excellent teeth as a result. Brilliant." "What an amazing dental practice. My 5 year old was suffering with dental pain and absolutely no where could see him but the [dentist's] receptionist sorted us out with an appointment within 10 minutes and my son really enjoyed his experience even though he needed a filling! Thanks again." "I have been a client of [my dentist] for many years and the care has always been fantastic. The staff are lovely and friendly. I saw the [therapist] today for a clean — a very pleasant and knowledgeable member of the team. I would recommend the practice." Patients commented positively about the standards of cleanliness. Patients felt able to book appointments within an acceptable timescale for their needs and said they had enough time during their appointment without feeling rushed. Patients told us they were given clear information to help them make an informed choice about their treatment and any associated costs. They were involved in decisions about their care. Patients said when they were prescribed medicines, sufficient information was given. Patients told us that they were supported to maintain their oral health and were provided with appropriate information and resources. The practice shared patient feedback with the team. We were told this was reviewed and where suggestions had been made, appropriate action would be taken.
