People’s experience

As part of the assessment, we reviewed the most recent National GP Patient Survey for 2024, NHS Friends and Family Test (FFT) and asked the practice to invite patients to share their experience of the service via the Give feedback on Care section on the Care Quality Commission’s website. We received feedback from 279 people via the give feedback on care section on the Care Quality Commission’s website. Out of this submitted feedback 99.4% was positive, with people saying how easy it was to get an appointment, how friendly the staff were and how there was always clear communication. The National GP Patient Survey for 2024showed that 93% of patients felt their needs were met during their last general practice appointment compared to the national average of 90%, and 98% had confidence and trust in the healthcare professional they saw or spoke to, which was higher than the national average of 92%. We also saw that 95% of people would describe their overall experience of the GP practice as good, the national average for this is 74%. Friends and Family test (FFT) results between January 2025 and May 2025, consistently showed a minimum of 90% of patients rating the service as very good or good. Feedback included how polite the staff were and how they provided an excellent service. During this assessment we spoke with a representative from the practice’s Patient Participation Group (PPG), they described how their views were listened to and when possible, acted on by management. They explained how the practice was compassionate, and they felt valued as a member of the PPG.

Evidence, not a league table.

CQC findings and GP Patient Survey results answer different questions and may cover different time periods. Neither confirms current appointment availability, NHS acceptance, opening hours or whether a provider is suitable for you.

Check the provider’s own website and the complete official CQC record before making a decision. If you need urgent medical help, use NHS 111 or call 999 in an emergency.
