People’s experience

The results of the National GP Patient Survey found 85% of patients described their overall experience of Stourport Medical Centre as ‘Good’ which was above the national average of 77%. 89% of patients reported the healthcare professional they saw or spoke to was good at treating them with care and concern during their last general practice appointment. 90% of patients reported the healthcare professional they saw or spoke to was good at listening to them during their last general practice appointment. 94% of patients found the reception and administrative team at Stourport Medical Centre helpful. Latest data shared from the NHS ‘Friends and Family Test’ showed that the vast majority of patient experience about the practice was highly positive. 94% of patients surveyed said they found their care at the practice to be either ‘Very Good’ or ‘Good.’ To hear from patients about their experiences we asked the service to share details of CQCs ‘Give Feedback on Care’ process. CQC received feedback from 16 patients of which 14 were positive about their experience of the service; and 2 were negative. Positive patient feedback related to the appointment triage process, clinical care and treatment received, and staff helpfulness and compassion. Negative feedback related to not being able to access appointments with GPs for long term conditions, and general access to appointments.
