People’s experience
Accordingto the 2025 National GP Patient Survey, 75% of patients reported a positive overall experience with the practice, which was in line with the national average. Additionally, 93% rated the reception and administrative team as helpful, which is higher than the national average of 83%. However, only 73% said the healthcare professionals they saw or spoke with treated them with care and concern, which was below the national average of 86%. The Care Quality Commission (CQC) received a total of 47 feedback responses.Of these, 81% were positive, with patients praising the friendliness of staff, quick access to appointments, and the quality of care. The remaining feedback raised concerns relating to areas such as medications, communication, and referrals. Feedback from a Patient Participation Group (PPG) respondent indicated a generally positive and constructive relationship between the practice and its patients. Meetings were structured with pre-set agendas while allowing space for open discussion, and the practice was seen as responsive and engaged in both clinical and operational matters. One member raised concerns about gaps in support for domestic violence victims, which led the practice to raise awareness by displaying supportive posters and promoting a more open approach to referrals. While communication from the practice was described as transparent and timely, concerns were raised about low participation and limited diversity within the PPG. Strengthening collaboration was seen as requiring ongoing effort and consistent engagement. The response rate to the NHS Friends and Family Test was relatively low, with 42 submissions received between April 2024 and March 2025. Despite this, results indicated a good level of patient satisfaction with the overall experience of care. Of those who responded, 80.9% rated their experience as 'Very Good' and 14.2% as 'Good'. Staff from an aligned care home provided positive feedback regarding the standard of care delivered by Browney House Surgery to their residents, specifically noting that the care received from the practice was of a good standard.

CQC findings and GP Patient Survey results answer different questions and may cover different time periods. Neither confirms current appointment availability, NHS acceptance, opening hours or whether a provider is suitable for you.
