People’s experience

The practice encouraged and used feedback from patients who used the service to make improvements. As part of this assessment, we reviewed patient feedback data available from the National GP Patient Survey (2025) and the NHS Friends and Family Test (FFT). Feedback from the National GP Patient Survey (2025) in relation to kindness, compassion and dignity, was above national averages and had improved since the outcomes of the 2023 National GP Patient Survey which we had reviewed at our previous inspection in September 2023. We saw that 92% (national average 86%) of patients felt the healthcare professional was very good or fairly good at treating them with care and concern, compared to 54% in 2023; 94% (national average 87%) felt the healthcare professional was very good or fairly good at listening to them, compared to 62% in 2023; 95% (national average 93%) had confidence and trust in the healthcare professional they saw or spoke to, compared to 86% in 2023; and 98% (national average 91%) felt they were involved as much as they wanted to be in decisions about their care and treatment, compared to 80% in 2023. In addition, the percentage of patients who responded positively to the overall experience of the practice was 88% (national average 75%), compared to 44% in 2023. Feedback from the National GP Patient Survey (2025) regarding access was above the national average and had significantly improved since our previous inspection. We found 65% (national average 53%) responded positively to how easy it was to contact the practice by phone, compared to 15% in 2023 and 83% (national average 70%) responded positively to the overall experience of contacting the practice, compared to 25% in September 2023. The FFT data collected by the practice for the period January to December 2025, of which there were 375 responses, showed 91% of patients found the practice to be very good (258) or good (84).

Evidence, not a league table.

CQC findings and GP Patient Survey results answer different questions and may cover different time periods. Neither confirms current appointment availability, NHS acceptance, opening hours or whether a provider is suitable for you.

Check the provider’s own website and the complete official CQC record before making a decision. If you need urgent medical help, use NHS 111 or call 999 in an emergency.
