The service is performing well and meeting our expectations.

People’s experience

People we spoke with expressed positive views about the quality of their care and treatment. The results of the 2024 National GP Patient Survey showed overall satisfaction and experiences with scores in line with both local and national averages. The provider actively sought feedback from service users to support continuous improvement. The process for acting on complaints had been improved and complaints were now thoroughly investigated and used as learning opportunities to enhance service quality. At the time of the assessment in May 2025, the practice was preparing to roll out an inhouse patient satisfaction survey to gather patient feedback on access, helpfulness of staff and areas for improvement. Feedback from the local nursing home whose residents received GP services from the provider was also very positive. The homes highlighted the provider’s responsiveness and level of care, which included regular fortnightly multi disciplinary team meetings and weekly visits by the advanced nurse practitioner. We were told the GP was accessible by phone if required and the GP practice team were responsive and caring when the home needed support. There was an active patient participation group (PPG) who represented the views of people using the service. Representatives from the PPG described how improvements had been seen at the practice over the last 12 months with the new managers and clinical team in place. The PPG told us that the group had been re-established in the past 12 months and regular meetings with the practice team had been implemented. The group were kept up to date with the latest plans and improvements and asked for feedback in relation to complaints and access.

Evidence, not a league table.

CQC findings and GP Patient Survey results answer different questions and may cover different time periods. Neither confirms current appointment availability, NHS acceptance, opening hours or whether a provider is suitable for you.

Check the provider’s own website and the complete official CQC record before making a decision. If you need urgent medical help, use NHS 111 or call 999 in an emergency.
