What CQC reported

The service is performing well and meeting our expectations.

People’s experience

We reviewed the practice’s NHS Friends and Family Test (FFT) for the past year and the results were mainly positive. We asked the practice to invite patients to share their experience of the service via the Give Feedback on Care form on the Care Quality Commission’s website. We received 34 positive responses and 7 negative responses. The overall feedback from patients and staff gathered from the inspection was also positive. We reviewed the National GP Patient Survey published in July 2024. The results for the questions were in line with or above national averages. However, the practice was performing below the national average scores for patient satisfaction in relation to confidence and trust, care and concern, listening, and meeting needs. The practice was aware of these lower than average results and had an action plan in place to improve these outcomes. Despite these findings, patients describe the overall experience as good for the practice. There was an active patient participation group (PPG) that represented the views of people using the service. We spoke with four representatives from the PPG, who described how managers made positive changes via their feedback, such as improvements with access.

Evidence, not a league table.

CQC findings and GP Patient Survey results answer different questions and may cover different time periods. Neither confirms current appointment availability, NHS acceptance, opening hours or whether a provider is suitable for you.

Check the provider’s own website and the complete official CQC record before making a decision. If you need urgent medical help, use NHS 111 or call 999 in an emergency.
