People’s experience
People were mostly positive about the quality of their care and treatment. Recent survey results, including from the National GP Patient Survey and the NHS Friends and Family Test, showed people were satisfied with services and the results for the practice were generally above national and regional averages. There was an active patient participation group (PPG) who represented the views of people using the service. Feedback we received in connection with this inspection was mostly but not exclusively positive about their experiences of the service. People had very good access to appointments provided by a range of a multi-skilled clinicians including GPs, advanced nurse practitioners, practice nurses, clinical pharmacist, paramedic and healthcare assistants. The results of the National GP Patient Survey were usually higher than local and national average scores for patient satisfaction. Results indicated people were able to get through to the practice by telephone and website, reception and admin staff were helpful, and people were given a choice of appointment time. Results showed people felt that the healthcare professional they saw or spoke to was good at listening to them, they were good at treating them with care and concern during their last general practice appointment and people had confidence and trust in them. Learning from people’s complaints and concerns was seen as an opportunity for improvement. The service monitored patient views via the NHS Friends and Family Test and online feedback, and the results indicated people were satisfied with services.

Evidence, not a league table.
CQC findings and GP Patient Survey results answer different questions and may cover different time periods. Neither confirms current appointment availability, NHS acceptance, opening hours or whether a provider is suitable for you.
