People’s experience
Prior to our inspection, we asked the practice to encourage patients to share their views of the service with us. We received feedback from 8 patients. On the day of our inspection, we saw patient feedback from a further 9 patients, who had completed paper feedback in the last 12-months. Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice. Comments included: “Excellent, high quality dental care. Excellent nurse support during dental procedures. Excellent Reception staff - very responsive, polite and respectful at all times. Very flexible and accommodating of requests for appointments and changes in appointments,” “[The dentist] is an excellent dentist. The staff are all very attentive and caring. I've always been seen on time and been given the best advice and care… I'd highly recommend this surgery to anyone without hesitation. I feel confident in the care of this surgery at all times.” “[The dentist] is kind, informative, and consistently strives for the best results—his expertise is unparalleled. [The dentist] provides excellent advice and outstanding service from every member of his team, always making time for the patients, even on weekends.” Patients commented positively about the standards of cleanliness. Patients felt able to book appointments within an acceptable timescale for their needs and said they had enough time during their appointment without feeling rushed. Patients told us they were given clear information to help them make an informed choice about their treatment and any associated costs. They were involved in decisions about their care. “The dentist always explains in detail what my treatment options are. I'm shown any X ray results and made to fully understand how my treatment will proceed. As treatment proceeds, I'm always fully aware of what will the next steps will be.” Patients said when they were prescribed medicines, sufficient information was given. Patients told us that they were supported to maintain their oral health and were provided with appropriate information and resources. The practice shared patient feedback with the team. We were told this was reviewed and where suggestions had been made, appropriate action would be taken.
