People’s experience

Prior to our inspection, we asked the practice to encourage patients to share their views of the service with us. We received feedback from 21 patients. On the day of our inspection, we saw patient feedback from over 300 patients, who had left online reviews. Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice. Comments included: “I’ve consistently experienced care that reflects the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and patient-centred practice. [the dentist] leads the practice with exceptional clarity and compassion. [the dentist] communicates every stage of treatment thoroughly, checks understanding, and ensures informed consent is always prioritised. The attention to detail and commitment to high-quality care really shine through.” “The practice is spotless and modern, and every member of staff treats you with kindness and respect. It’s clear that patient wellbeing is at the heart of everything they do.” “The staff are courteous, caring and always do their best to answer any questions and accommodate with appointment’s. [the dentist] explained each procedure as the appointment progressed and both frequently asked if I was ok and to let them know if I needed a break at anytime, I found their approach very comforting. I find [my dentist] to be very honest, trustworthy and value the professional opinion.” “[the dentist] went to great lengths explaining the different procedures required to repair all the damage to my teeth. This was done with an understanding of my worry and also with great empathy, immediately putting me at ease. I was then given a detailed printout of my upcoming treatment schedule and the costs of each procedure. My treatment has recently been completed to my total satisfaction and to say I am extremely pleased with all the work I’ve had done is a big understatement. Patients commented positively about the standards of cleanliness. “Appointments run smoothly, records are handled efficiently, and the team demonstrates a clear commitment to maintaining a clean, hygienic, and well managed clinical environment.” Patients felt able to book appointments within an acceptable timescale for their needs and said they had enough time during their appointment without feeling rushed. Patients told us they were given clear information to help them make an informed choice about their treatment and any associated costs. They were involved in decisions about their care. “Each and every subsequent appointment was on time and [the dentist} took great steps to firstly put me at ease, reassure me and then explain exactly what each procedure entailed.” Patients said when they were prescribed medicines, sufficient information was given. Patients told us that they were supported to maintain their oral health and were provided with appropriate information and resources. The practice shared patient feedback with the team. We were told this was reviewed and where suggestions had been made, appropriate action would be taken.

CQC findings and GP Patient Survey results answer different questions and may cover different time periods. Neither confirms current appointment availability, NHS acceptance, opening hours or whether a provider is suitable for you.

Check the provider’s own website and the complete official CQC record before making a decision. If you need urgent medical help, use NHS 111 or call 999 in an emergency.
