People’s experience
Prior to our inspection, we asked the practice to encourage patients to share their views of the service with us. We received feedback from 7 patients. On the day of our inspection, we saw patient feedback from a further 40 patients, who had left online reviews in the last 12-months. Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice. Comments included: “Very helpful, friendly and professional staff. Receptionists always smiling, reassuring and helpful. Dentist always friendly, puts you at ease and explains everything really well. Constantly checks if you are ok and that you understand treatment needed.” “I've been having treatment at Freedom Dental for the past few months. The dentist has been so kind and reassuring throughout and explained everything really clearly helping me to feel less nervous about my treatment. The receptionists are always lovely and really helpful too. I'm really happy with the quality of care this dental practice provide.” “Very pleasant practice, everyone very nice and friendly” “Professional service and treatment. Very friendly staff. I found everything well explained and a plan layout both in terms of costs and time. Very happy with service from freedom dental, life changing smile I didn't think was possible.” Patients commented positively about the standards of cleanliness. Patients felt able to book appointments within an acceptable timescale for their needs and said they had enough time during their appointment without feeling rushed. Patients told us they were given clear information to help them make an informed choice about their treatment and any associated costs. They were involved in decisions about their care. Patients told us that when they were prescribed medicines, sufficient information was given. Patients told us that they were supported to maintain their oral health and were provided with appropriate information and resources. The practice shared patient feedback with the team. We were told this was reviewed and where suggestions had been made, appropriate action would be taken.
