People’s experience

Two weeks before our visit, we asked the practice to encourage patients to share their views of the service with us. We did not receive any direct patient feedback. Staff gathered feedback from patients, the public and external partners and demonstrated a commitment to acting on feedback. During our assessment, we saw patient feedback from patients which had been gathered and analysed by the practice. The feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice. Patient comments included: ‘I am very happy with my treatment’, ‘Excellent service’, ‘The dentist was professional and knowledgeable’, and ‘The staff team are friendly, patient and helpful’. Patients commented positively about the standards of cleanliness. At the time of our assessment, the patients felt there were enough staff working at the practice. They were able to book appointments when needed. Patients said they had confidence in the dental team.

Patients told us they were given clear information to help them make an informed choice about their treatment and any associated costs. They said that where they paid privately for their dental care they received value for money.

Patients felt they were involved in decisions about their care and had the opportunity to discuss this with their dentist

Patients said that when they were prescribed medicines, sufficient information was given.

Patients said that they were supported to maintain their oral health and were provided with information to help prevent gum and tooth problems.

Patients commented that they felt they were treated with respect and dignity. They said that they were helped to overcome anxiety and felt at ease during their appointments.

The practice shared patient feedback with the team. We were told this was reviewed and where suggestions had been made, appropriate action would be taken.

Evidence, not a league table.

CQC findings and GP Patient Survey results answer different questions and may cover different time periods. Neither confirms current appointment availability, NHS acceptance, opening hours or whether a provider is suitable for you.

Check the provider’s own website and the complete official CQC record before making a decision. If you need urgent medical help, use NHS 111 or call 999 in an emergency.
